The Minister of Finance, Avigdor Lieberman, and the Minister of Education, Dr. Yifat Shasha Bitton, agreed today (Tuesday) that the kindergartens will be included in the school program of the Great Freedom this year.
Meanwhile, Minister Shasha-Bitton intends to include the budget of kindergarten children in the budget base of the program as early as next year.
As you may recall, the program began several years ago and originally included only grades 1-3.
In the last two years, the program has been expanded by two years due to the outbreak of the corona plague and also included kindergartens.
As mentioned, today Ministers Lieberman and Shasha-Bitton announced that they will also be budgeted for the current year.
Finance Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that "schools of great freedom provide an educational solution for children. We will continue to promote, strengthen and encourage the employment of young parents and middle-class families."
Education Minister Dr. Yifat Shasha Bitton added that "Kindergarten children must be part of the schools of great freedom.
Therefore, we did not agree to give up and we were able to include them in the plan of the upcoming freedom as well.
We will not leave the kindergarten children behind, and we will make sure that next year they will be included in the budget base, like first and third grades. "
