(CNN Spanish) --

More than 4 million Colombian families are currently receiving the Solidarity Income subsidy, the government's financial aid for the most vulnerable that was created during the covid-19 pandemic.

And while many families should have already received their bimonthly contributions, perhaps there may be some others that are still waiting for their money orders, so it is necessary to verify the status of the money orders through the official information channels of the Colombian government.

What happens if you are a beneficiary of Solidarity Income and still do not receive the money?

Here are some ideas of what you should do, in addition to being patient.

The first thing you should do is check your status in the program.

To do this, you must check if you are a beneficiary on the official Solidarity Income page and, if you are a beneficiary, your data will appear.

If you are a beneficiary, you should receive a text message either from your financial institution or from your own program, in case you do not have bank accounts.

"If you found your name and ID in the beneficiary database and you have not received a text message, it means that you could be part of a subsequent payment cycle," says the program about the money that has not yet reached the beneficiaries.

"During this stage, the financial institutions will contact you to give you instructions on how to receive the draft or open a simplified deposit through your cell phone," adds the Solidarity Income website.

If you had been receiving the solidarity income money in your savings account until December 2021 and now you have not received it, it is likely that you have had a rejection or some problem with the account, "but it does not mean that for that reason you have left solidarity income ", said Édgar Orlando Picón, director of Monetary Transfers of the Department of Social Prosperity in a question and answer session via YouTube.

At this time the payment will most likely be available at a 'Super Spins' point for cash collection.

For this it is necessary to approach with the identity card and they will give you the payment, added Picón.

If the potential beneficiary has not received drafts and has accumulated payments, they can collect that money but only three accumulated payments.

"The national government is aware that there are beneficiaries who have not yet been able to claim any of the drafts, so they can be received accumulated," says the website, but warns that "... only up to three payments of the Program".

"Beneficiaries who do not collect three consecutive payments will be suspended from the program and payments will not be scheduled in the following months," it adds.

And, through the official page, you can receive more help and information about payments.

Remember that to receive the Solidarity Income benefit you do not have to register, and it will only depend on the degree you have in Sisbén, a government survey to find out the socioeconomic conditions of families and classifies them by "their ability to generate income and quality of life ", according to the National Planning Department (DPN) of Colombia.
