Coral Arjwan of the Friends of Music Association in Tartous and the Venice Youth Philharmonic “Venice” of the Friends Association in Mestre signed today a twinning and fraternization agreement between them with the aim of developing brotherly bonds and cooperation between the organizations they represent, through video technology at the association’s headquarters in Tartous.

The agreement, which provides for efforts to develop relations between the two sides technically and intellectually, and to exchange visits, concerts, experiences and knowledge related to the musical, artistic, educational and cultural fields, is a global artistic and humanitarian precedent, and evidence of the ability of music, art and beauty to unite peoples and spread love, goodness and peace among them.

Maestro Bisher Issa, choir conductor “Arjwan” and head of the Friends of Music Association in Tartous, said in a statement to SANA reporter: “The signing of the agreement is a musical event and a unique precedent in the world, especially that it is between a choir and an orchestra, and its aim is to extend the roots of friendship, cooperation and brotherhood across the seas and to overcome all difficulties so that we can be able to From meeting people who have the same passion, love and concern.

Issa expressed his pride that the purple choir represents the city of Tartous, which was once a carrier of the Phoenician purple, which our Phoenician ancestors toured the world, carrying this beautiful color and spreading with them joy, civilization and culture across the world.

President of the Friends of Music Association in Mestre, lawyer Mauro Pizzicatti, indicated in an interview via video technology to the bonds of love and brotherhood that were translated through the signing of a twinning agreement between the two parties and his desire to strengthen it by extending a helping hand in everything related to culture, heroism and civilization, stressing Syria’s ability to get out of the consequences of war that have been subjected to.

Both sides gave a glimpse of his work and the distinguished stations he achieved, then the purple choir performed “Young People and Adults” Beethoven’s Ode to Joy, harmoniously divided into four sounds.

It is noteworthy that the “Urjuan” choir is one of the largest choirs in the Arab region. Arabic and sings in more than twenty languages ​​in a polyphonic style.

The choir won first place in the World Festival competition in Bulgaria and the Golden Olive Branch Award. It is a member of the World Federation of Choral Music, the European Choir Association, and the Arab Choir Network. It is linked by a twinning agreement with the Greek Chorale Korais.
