The anti-Israel congresswoman has submitted a motion for a resolution, her partners are Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Oxio-Cortez.

Democratic Congresswoman Rashida Talib has submitted to the House of Representatives an official resolution to recognize the Palestinian Nakba.

Talib's proposal was joined by a group of anti-Israel congressmen from the Democratic Party, including Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Oxio-Cortez.

The chances of the decision to move to the House of Representatives are quite slim, and it is another defiant step by Talib and her friends against the State of Israel.

Despite this, its intense activity is gaining public resonance in American public opinion, and is a significant accelerating factor in the process of the withdrawal of significant sections of the Democratic Party from Israel.

The proposal was praised by various pro-Palestinian groups and organizations.

"This is a historic moment," reads a statement issued by the American Campaign for the Rights of the Palestinians, an organization working against Israel in Washington.

"For far too long, the Palestinians have been ignoring Washington. Thank you Rashida for giving voice to this reality and illuminating the pain and injustice that the Palestinians are suffering from."

Last Thursday, Talib delivered a particularly aggressive speech against Israel, attacking her colleagues in the House of Representatives for their support of the Jewish state: "The Palestinians are not going anywhere, no matter how much money you continue to send to the Israeli apartheid government," she said.

Talib also provided a baseless description of the recent riots of thousands of Palestinians on the Temple Mount: "Israel is conducting an ongoing campaign of harassment and terror against believers who kneel and pray while celebrating their holidays in one of their holiest places. Al-Aqsa is surrounded by violence and tear gas while people pray." claim.

Although it belongs to their party, Talib directly attacked President Biden and Secretary of State Blinken, claiming that the statements they made gave the impression that "the Palestinians are almost non-existent."

Talib is the only member of Congress of Palestinian descent and one of the leaders of the Progressive Party in the Democratic Party, which has a strong anti-Israel line.

It supports the end of Israel's existence as a Jewish state and the establishment of a single state between the Mediterranean and Jordan, and vigorously promotes the BDS campaign and another campaign to stop American aid to Israel.
