Occupied Jerusalem - SANA

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the provocative incursion by Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett into the northern West Bank, calling on the UN Security Council to assume its responsibilities and implement UN Resolution 2334, which affirms the illegality of settlements and calls for its cessation.

The Foreign Ministry indicated in a statement today, reported by Wafa Agency, that the incursion is an integral part of the occupation’s attempts to expand settlement operations in Palestine to implement the colonial annexation plans, noting that Bennett’s visit to a settlement established in the northern West Bank under strict protection from the occupation forces is an incursion into occupied Palestinian land and that the establishment of settlements is an order The reality is that there is no change in international law and the resolutions of international legitimacy that state that settlements in all its forms are void and illegal.

The Foreign Ministry called on the members of the Security Council, with the approach of its session to discuss the situation in the international occupied Palestinian territory, to focus on a complete condemnation of the violations of the occupation and to discuss how to secure international protection for the Palestinian people and to provide international observers to document Israeli violations and crimes against them.
