The unemployment rate is almost stable in the first quarter of 2022 at 7.3% of the working population in France (excluding Mayotte) against 7.4% in the last quarter of 2021, according to figures published Tuesday by INSEE.

In the first quarter, the number of unemployed as defined by the International Labor Office reached 2.2 million people, or 18,000 less over the quarter.
The unemployment rate is at its lowest level since early 2008.
