With the participation of Tishreen, Qasioun, Al-Thawra, and Al-Wahda teams, the final round of the Women's First Division Club Championship kicked off today.
In Al-Fayhaa Hall in Damascus, in the semi-finals of the competition, Al-Thawra defeated Al-Wehda with a score of 78-85 points.
The first quarter ended with Al-Wehda advancing 15-26 points, while the second came in favor of Al-Thawra 29-26 points, and Al-Thawra settled the third and fourth quarters with 16-23 points and 10-18 points, ending the match.
The two teams will meet again next Thursday at Al-Fayhaa Hall in Damascus as well.
In the second match, Tishreen defeated Qasioun with a score of 68-49 points in the match that brought the two teams together in the Basketball Hall of Al-Assad Sports City in Lattakia.
The first and second quarters ended in favor of Tishreen with 10-19 points and 12-15 points, while the third quarter came in favor of Qasioun 12-16 points, but progress was made in the fourth quarter, and the two teams will meet again the day after tomorrow in Al-Fayhaa Hall in Damascus.
Competing teams in the women's league meet in the semi-finals, back and forth, and the winner of the two matches aggregate qualifies for the final round, and in the event of a tie, a play-off match is resorted to.
It is noteworthy that the Final Four competitions will be held this season in a new way, as the Basketball Association allowed first-class clubs to contract with a foreign player and an Arab player, in addition to the presence of an external arbitration staff.
