After the violent death of a prostitute, the Hanover Regional Court sentenced two 25 and 35-year-old men from Hildesheim to 12 years in prison for robbery resulting in death.

Two men attack a prostitute in Hanover, tie up and rob her.

The woman suffocates – the accused now face twelve years in prison.

Hanover – After the violent death of a prostitute, the Hanover Regional Court sentenced two 25 and 35-year-old men from Hildesheim to twelve years in prison for robbery resulting in death.

As a court spokeswoman announced on Tuesday (May 17th, 2022), the accused are said to have visited and attacked the woman in September 2021 in her apartment in the state capital of Lower Saxony.

The accused attacked the 53-year-old in her apartment in the Stöcken district, which was used as a brothel.

At first they posed as customers looking for sexual services, but wanted to rob their victim.

They choked and injured the woman before leaving her tied and gagged in the apartment.

This suffocated before it was found, as reported by hna.de.

Originally, the Iranian and the Iraqi had been accused of murder.

Now the court has sentenced her to robbery resulting in death, since no intent to kill could be proven.

They didn't want to kill the woman, they wanted to rob her.

In addition, the confiscation of the stolen money had been ordered, the spokeswoman said.

The defense had pleaded in one case for a suspended sentence.
