Some 265 Ukrainian fighters entrenched in the Azovstal steelworks, the last stronghold of Ukrainian resistance in Mariupol, have surrendered to pro-Russian forces and been taken prisoner since Monday, the Russian Ministry of Defense said on Tuesday May 17.

In the past 24 hours, 265 fighters have surrendered and taken themselves prisoner, including 51 seriously injured
