Russian nutritionist Dr. Margarita Korolova announced that excessive consumption of coffee, milk and soda water can damage the bones.
"Excessive intake of acidic foods without balancing them with alkaline foods leads to a change in the (BH) index in the body, which makes it seek to balance the condition by taking the beneficial alkaline elements from the bones, causing a decrease in their strength," Korolova said in a television interview.
The abundance of milk in the diet negatively affects the bones, according to the expert, because the acidic substances in it come out of the body as useful substances, so it is necessary to balance it by eating vegetables because they contain dietary fibers that help retain calcium in the body, adding that coffee also affects the absorption process of calcium, magnesium and mineral elements. Korolova pointed out that soft drinks, especially sweetened ones, negatively affect the mechanism of kidney function and can also cause osteoporosis because they contain phosphoric acid, which negatively affects the digestive system and teeth as well.
