With the start of the tourist season, the Lattakia Tourism Directorate took a number of measures and conducted several tours of tourist facilities to confirm adherence to the clear announcement of the prices approved by the directorate and that prices did not exceed the ceilings specified according to the classification level in addition to adherence to health conditions.

Director of Tourism Fadi Nizam explained in a statement to SANA reporter that with the beginning of the summer season, and with the aim of providing the best tourist services, a tour was conducted to the tourist areas in Sallefa, Kassab, Ras al-Basit, the Lablaj resort for popular tourism in Wadi Qandil, and a number of tourist facilities in the city center of Lattakia and Jableh.

Nizam explained that there are two sites for popular tourism in Lattakia, namely Lablaj Beach in Wadi Qandil, which includes huts and rooms for overnight stays at reasonable prices. Several tourist groups have been organized to the area from other governorates. Tourist trips are expected to increase after the exams are over, and work is being done to maintain the cleanliness of the beach permanently and to provide Best services.

Nizam pointed out that the southern sand beach dedicated to popular swimming is being coordinated with the city council to take care of it and clean it and clean the southern corniche permanently, and cooperate with the city council, unions and organizations to search for open sites and beaches suitable for popular tourism within the city of Lattakia.

Nizam indicated that the Directorate of Tourism is working to encourage cultural tourism as well by organizing visits and trips to Salah El-Din Castle, Al-Minqa Citadel and the Roman Amphitheater.

The Director of Tourism pointed out that work is being done to rehabilitate and clean the roads and places surrounding Lake Mashkita, and an ecological camping walk will be organized in the area and trips to natural environmental reserves such as the Fernlaq, Shuh, Cedar and Beit Yashout reserves.

The Directorate of Tourism also works according to a system, through its website and social media pages, to promote and highlight the tourist sites that characterize Lattakia Governorate.
