For two weeks, the touring exhibition "Mensch, Du hast Recht(e)!" by the Anne Frank educational center can be seen in the youth center in Poing.

Designed for teenagers and young adults.

Poing - Ain't nothing wrong with saying "you faggot" to someone?

Is it normal to have a father and a mother?

Or two fathers?

Or two mothers?

Are war refugees (regardless of which country) people second class?

Exclusion, discrimination, racism often takes place imperceptibly on a small scale.

Or by outside influence, by people who promote their opinion as the only true one.

Such as the Corona deniers and demonstrators who stand at the Poinger S-Bahn station every Thursday.

"A lot of young people who are approached by the Corona deniers also pass by," says Christina Tarnikas.

These would try to spread their "truth" especially among young people.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Ebersberg newsletter.

Tarnikas is the spokeswoman for the Respect@Poing action group, which brought an interactive exhibition to the Poing youth center: "Man, you're right(s)!".

A mobile learning laboratory from the Anne Frank educational institution, which is set up in the large hall of the youth center.

The target group is in particular young people and young adults, who not only receive information at various stations such as "How does discrimination work?", "What can happen if my data is stolen?", "Memory of human rights" and "What would you do?" , but can become active themselves.

An exhibition for eyes, ears, mouth and head.

There are stations for listening, writing and expressing your own opinion.

Stations where you can ponder and check previously implanted truths and opinions.

The question above all is:

Poing: Education about racism, discrimination and exclusion

For Poing's Mayor Thomas Stark and Christina Tarnikas, the answer is clear: in a world without discrimination, in a world of "appreciative cooperation", as Stark said in his words of welcome at the opening of the exhibition on Wednesday morning.

For this it is important to sensitize young people at an early stage - which is very successful with the learning laboratory.

Tarnikas and Respect@Poing thanked Stark: "I am proud that there is this action group in Poing." She brought the exhibition here, in the next two weeks it can be visited in the youth center.

Mayor Thomas Stark invites not only young people and school classes from Poing, but from the entire district and beyond.

Exhibition open to visitors from near and far

The touring exhibition "Mensch, Du hast Recht(e)!" was conceived two years ago by the Frankfurt educational institution Anne Frank with the support of "Aktion Mensch" as a touring exhibition for rural areas in order to offer young people the opportunity to get involved in an interactive way Dealing with racism, discrimination and human rights.
