Is Donald Trump planning to run again for US President?

Wife Melanie recently spoke meaningfully about a return to the White House.

Washington DC – Melania Trump has been Donald Trump's wife since 2005.

A relationship that led the model, born in 1970 in Novo Mesto in what is now Slovenia, to the most sacred halls of American politics.

After her husband made a historic transition from entrepreneur and reality TV star to Republican leader in the run-up to the 2017 US presidential election and became president after defeating Hillary Clinton, Melania Trump also became First Lady in the White House.

Melania Trump on the White House: 'Was my home for a while'

Between 2017 and 2021, the now 52-year-old held the position of "first wife" in the United States and resided with husband Donald Trump in the powerhouse in Washington DC, a time that Melania Trump seems to think back fondly.

"I've enjoyed looking after the White House.

It was my home for a while," explains the former first lady in an interview with US broadcaster Fox News.

It cannot be ruled out that Melania Trump could take care of the White House again for four years.

Since Donald Trump's election defeat by the current US President Joe Biden, various observers have been anticipating that the 75-year-old will want to run again for a second term as President in 2024.

Since the last election, Trump has been using the narrative that victory was stolen from him and that there were several cases of fraud in voting.

However, independent observers contradict the descriptions.

In an interview with Fox News, Melania Trump did not rule out a return to the White House.

Between 2017 and 2021, the 52-year-old was already First Lady.

Melania Trump does not indirectly rule out her husband's candidacy again.

"Never say never," the 52-year-old replied somewhat cryptically when asked if the White House could become her home again.

Being First Lady was her "greatest honor".

So it's quite possible that Melanie Trump is already flirting with a return to the White House.

A clear rejection at least sounds different.
