A prosecutor's statement was filed today (Wednesday) against Ilana Sporta-Haniya, who is suspected of sending threatening letters to the Bennett family.
In doing so, the police have in fact announced that they intend to file an indictment against Sporta.
Police sources said that "the letters contained an explicit threat to the murder of the prime minister and his family members if he did not resign."
The police and the GSS even feared that the sender had access to live ammunition. Her detention was extended by five days.
Recall that two threatening letters were sent to Bennett's family at different times.
The letters included bullet and threatening text.
The first letter was sent to his wife, Gilat.
The second letter was sent to his son, June.
Last week, the police arrested Sporta, a resident of Ashkelon, and extended her detention for a week.
Will the threats stop?

Police sources said the wording of the letters "raised suspicions of extortion offenses, including a terrorist act threat, under the Counter-Terrorism Act."
According to them, "the letters state an explicit threat to the murder of the prime minister and his family members if he does not resign."
The GSS and the police treated the two letters, which carried live bullets severely. The fear was that the sender had access to live ammunition and thus was able to carry out the threat.
The second letter arrived three days later.
"Pretty soon we got to the route the letters took and to identify the sender," police said.

They added: "We turned every stone, got publications on the networks, saw hate speech against her and understood that she was a right-wing activist. We understood that she sent letters to other public figures, we got their share and it helped establish the suspicion against her."
Police say Sporta tried to "obscure her actions," but declined to elaborate.
"There is no doubt about her involvement, did she intend to carry out her threat? That is a good question. We saw potential here to carry it out. Due to the memory of the past, we took the matter seriously."
Police attribute to Sporta offenses of extortion by threats, transport of weapons and conspiracy to commit a crime.
A section of threat of committing an act of terrorism may also be included.
Today, as stated, a plaintiff's statement was filed against her.
Sporta denies the suspicions against her.
