- Several callers from Kirchseeon had reported a chemical smell to the Ebersberg police station on Tuesday.
The officials said that this was particularly noticeable in eastern Kirchseeon.
A patrol deployed on site was able to confirm an “unpleasant smell”.
In the course of the further investigation, the officials came to the cause of the smell on the track.

Kirchseeon: The explanation for the unpleasant odor lies in agriculture
According to the announcement, the foul-smelling substance is a pesticide that had just been applied to a nearby field.
"However, the agent corresponds to the current EU standards, so that no danger to the population or the animal and plant world is assumed," emphasizes the inspection in its statement.
Especially on the B304: the police expect further smells from pesticides
At the same time, the officials announce that the people of Kirchseeon will have to be prepared for more stench in the coming days: "The smell should appear again in the next few days" - especially on the B 304 federal road, since the pesticide in question will also be applied to the fields there .
Faeces and rubbish on eco-areas in Anzing (Ebersberg district) point to waste disposal and toilet tourism from an industrial area and from the motorway. Local farmers are angry.
