Two minors were placed in police custody on Tuesday after threatening a teacher with a weapon which ultimately turned out to be fake in a college in Besançon, we learned on Wednesday May 18 from the public prosecutor Étienne Manteaux.

The facts took place at the Clairs soleils college, said the prosecutor, confirming information from the daily L'Est Républicain.
According to the newspaper, the two boys began to disrupt a lesson before brandishing a weapon in the direction of the teacher who tried to intervene.
The establishment is located in a sensitive area of Besançon.
The two minors, already known to the police, fled but were arrested shortly afterwards.
The prosecution was to extend the custody of these minors aged "
13 and over
" on Wednesday, said Étienne Manteaux, who will hold a press briefing on Thursday at 4:00 p.m. on this file.
According to L'Est Républicain, the teacher and the principal of the Clairs soleils college have filed a complaint, which the prosecution has not confirmed.
The rectorate and the academic inspectorate did not respond to AFP's requests immediately.
