The burglar trade seems to be quite exhausting.
At least for a burglar in Nuremberg who fell asleep during his robbery.
Nuremberg – That should not happen to the police officers on site every day either: When they were called to a single-family house in the Thon district of Nuremberg because, according to the startled residents, someone was there, the forces of the Nuremberg-West Police Inspectorate moved together with the Central Franconia support command and one dog handler on.
They searched the property - and found the sleeping burglar.
There was a similar case in Regensburg only recently: Here, too, the burglar slept in someone else's apartment - but probably on purpose.
Burglary in Nuremberg: perpetrator fell asleep
On Friday evening, May 13, the 38-year-old suspect forcibly gained access to the family home in the north of Nuremberg.
There he collected loot, ransacked all the rooms and, according to the police report, made ready packed bags at the entrance to the apartment ready to be taken away.
Apparently sleep got the better of him.
When the occupant of the house returned to his apartment at around 8.45 p.m., he noticed the sudden disorder and cigarette smoke and also heard noises.
He informed the police, who immediately arrived, first surrounded the house and then searched the property.
They came across the sleeping burglar, who allowed himself to be arrested without resistance.

According to the police report, the 38-year-old was under the influence of alcohol when he broke into the home.
After the arrest, the Central Franconia Criminal Service came to collect evidence.
The specialist commissariat of the Nuremberg Criminal Police Office has taken over the further investigations, according to the police press release.
The 38-year-old now has to answer criminally on suspicion of the particularly serious case of theft.
At the same time, the police are asking witnesses who have made suspicious observations about the incident in Thon to call (09 11) 2 11 23 33 3.
