Tempers heat up in the final stretch towards the first presidential round in Colombia.
A little over a week before the May 29 elections, this Wednesday the issue on which the attention of the electoral debate has focused has to do with complaints of infiltrations and accusations of "dirty play."
The center-right candidate of the Equipo por Colombia coalition, Federico Gutiérrez, denounced the appearance, in one of his campaign headquarters located in the Poblado sector in the city of Medellín, of an electronic device with a microcamera that had an SD card with capacity to record 24 hours a day.
Who are the favorites in the Colombian presidential elections?
This is what the polls say
The candidate reported that this material was made available to the National Police and this was confirmed this Tuesday by the director of the institution, General Jorge Luis Vargas, who indicated that the material was delivered to the Attorney General's Office for the respective investigation.
Regarding this incident, the candidate Gutiérrez said that this was proof of the dirty game that was being carried out by the coalition campaign of the Historical Pact and asked the candidate Gustavo Petro to say if he had had anything to do with this possible infiltration.
From Gustavo Petro's presidential campaign they responded through their debate chief, Alfonso Prada, who flatly denied the commission of any illegal activity against the candidate Federico Gutiérrez or any other campaign.
