In the six pinyin teaching topics throughout the year, we designed storybooks based on specific phonemes as introductions for different pinyin goals, and set specific scenarios for STEM activities, so that students not only learn pinyin and reading skills, but also engage in more in activity.

Under the leadership of foreign English teachers, they experienced an interesting process of scientific inquiry.

In the topic of The Cheese Ship, students work together in groups to test the properties of different materials, and design a boat that can carry the most guests by observing and classifying floating or sinking materials.

In the project of Oil Spills at Happy Bee Beach, students have to test and judge different items such as spoons, drinking straws and cotton, and find the right tools to help remove oil from the beach, so as to save small animals affected by environmental pollution.

In Snake Paint Bay's project, students have to connect a complete circuit first, and then create their "Dancing Snake".

Although the students didn't know much about circuits at first, they finally succeeded in connecting their own "dancing snakes" by identifying different tools.

In the process, students use what they have learned, not only to combine English with STEM, but also to have a better understanding of environmental protection and cultivate positive values.

The students were very involved in the process, not only showing their scientific skills, but also gaining more experience with English stories.
