The decision has been made: The Irschenberg municipal council has decided to postpone it.
The citizens' initiative (BI) wants to support the community on this path - a good opportunity.
A comment from Merkur editor Dieter Dorby.
The municipal council's decision to apply to the district office for the postponement of the application for gravel extraction deserved the applause of the citizens present.
Some council members have jumped over their shadow, so that one can now say: the will of the citizens is in the foreground.

The fact that the community's citizens' initiative continues to offer its support is more than just a good gesture.
In dialogue with the affected citizens, the municipality can best determine which impairments are to be averted or limited in particular.
This increases the probability of finding a solution that really helps and is widely accepted locally.
Especially since it cannot be ruled out that other, albeit much smaller, gravel deposits may also come into focus.
The community would do well to make a long-term and best-possible decision on the issue now.
