The Food Control Patrols in the Health Affairs Directorate of Al-Hasakah City Council, with the support of the City Council Police, confiscated quantities of meat unfit for consumption and some types of foodstuffs and duly destroyed them.
Head of the Health Affairs Directorate Basil Al-Abbawi said in a statement to SANA reporter that the patrols, through their continuous tours of the markets to ensure the validity of the sold foodstuffs, seized quantities of minced and unground meat unfit for human consumption, in addition to four cartons of expired biscuits and chocolate. Al-Abbawi pointed out that the patrols continue to tour the markets, follow up and monitor foodstuffs, meat and chicken, and the Directorate is fully prepared to receive citizens' complaints on the direct number 221698.
