An application by the district Greens for the S7 is intended to remedy the situation for commuters.

However, a connection guarantee is not possible.

An alternative is now being examined.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen – The district has no influence on whether the S7 arrives on time at the Wolfratshausen train station.

However, the Greens wanted the district to at least try its best to make life easier for commuters.

That's why they applied for a "continued guarantee".

The district infrastructure committee recently discussed this.

In the end, the committee agreed to have the maximum length of time the individual buses could wait at the station in Wolfratshausen in the event of an optional delay in the S-Bahn.

"The S7 is prone to failure," argued Jakob Koch (Greens).

According to the timetable, the connecting buses would depart four to nine minutes after the train's arrival.

"If I use the S-Bahn and it's seven minutes late, with a bit of luck the bus will still be there," said Beuerberger, describing the problem.

The consequence is that, to be on the safe side, people from the surrounding communities drive to the Wolfratshausen train station by car so that they can come home again in the evening.

For the traffic turnaround, however, it must be possible to get from door to door by public transport.

"Unfortunately, follow-up guarantee is not yet possible today"

Matthias Schmid, public transport expert at the district office, said at the meeting: "Basically, it is unfortunately not yet possible to give a follow-up guarantee." Schmid said that he had spoken to MVV specialists in advance, who had pointed this out to him that the technical requirements, i.e. reliable real-time data for the bus drivers, are not yet in place.

In the Oberhachinger district of Furth (Munich district), however, a corresponding pilot project is running.

"Of course it would be best if it were displayed in an app," Koch admitted.

But it would be a "gentle signal" and a "simple solution" if one were to determine which bus could wait for the S-Bahn and how long.

Franz Schöttl (CSU) thought it was "unprofessional".

"Maybe we should wait for the result of the pilot project," he said.

Lydia Hofherr (CSU) said that the buses could generally arrive later at the station.

"You don't have to be there when the S-Bahn arrives." L

Maximum waiting time of individual buses should be checked

Michael Häsch (CSU) had his problems with the term extended guarantee.

"For me, that means a legal right," says Häsch.

Christine Mair (Greens) therefore suggested speaking of a "connection security".

In general, she would have thought "that we have come a long way with timetable information".

Formally, the Greens parliamentary group withdrew their request and the committee unanimously decided to examine the maximum waiting times of the individual buses.

The result of the pilot project should be presented when it is available.
