Every year, hundreds and even thousands of cases of various bodily and mental injuries occur around the Lag B'Omer bonfires (during the event itself and / or in the prolonged preparations for it). Sure.

Many days before Lag B'Omer, the children gather from everything nearby for the benefit of Lag B'Omer night, so they should be warned not to climb to high places, (the tops of the trees or rocks) to collect planks so that they do not fall from a height.

Care should be taken not to pick up planks with nails and bumps that could cause cuts, spikes and injuries.

It is also recommended to beware of snakes and other species of insects that may roam among the weeds and hide among the planks.

Make sure that they do not collect "wooden pallets" from shops and factories, as well as "planks" from work and construction sites, the pallets and planks are worth money to their owners and taking them causes a fire with fear of robbery.

When choosing the location of the fire, the location of the fire should be preferred in iron tanks or on a flat surface without weeds or nearby thorns that could cause the fire to spread beyond what was planned.

It is very important to stay away from electrical wires and parked vehicles, sparks fly to distances and cause fires.

Do not light a fire on the porch or in the yard as the fire can spread quickly and get out of control.

The fire should be held in an open area and in designated areas.

Keep the fire out of the vicinity of residential apartments as far as it belongs, so as not to be indebted to us.

The heavy smoke that spreads is harmful to people with breathing difficulties, sick people and the elderly.

Keep a safe distance from tanks and gas accumulators, which can cause an explosion and loss of life, God forbid.

Planks should not be raised to a height that could collapse during the flare-up and cause injury.

It is better from the beginning, to make the fire from cotton wool and oil that the public volunteers, in honor of the Tanna Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai.

In such a fire the fears of bodily harm and property are minimal.

Also the use of these materials greatly reduces the damage of the smoke that builds up during the ignition, and is convenient to extinguish them at the end of the event.

Keep children away from fire, prolonged exposure close to the source of the fire may cause damage, including to the eyes.

Make sure that objects that could explode, such as spray cans, glass, etc., or fast combustion materials such as fuel, plastic, nylon, or any flammable or explosive material, that have already caused severe bodily injury, are not thrown into the fire.

The activities for children should be carried out at a significant distance from the fire.

At the end of the event, keep an eye out and bring the children home safely with the adults, so that there is no situation where the children are left to play with the fire in the arena without the supervision of adults, who will not harm or be harmed.

When finished, make sure the fire is completely extinguished.

The coals may flare up again after the crowd has dispersed.

It is recommended to spray water on the coals or cover them with sand to make sure that the fire does not catch fire again.

Thanks to the divine condition, Rabbi Shimon Bar-Yohai will be able to rejoice in his teachings in peace and tranquility until the coming of the Redeemer of justice in the Blessed Sacrament.
