According to Ebersberg's district administrator Robert Niedergesäß, he can imagine a speed limit on the district road between Poing-Angelbrechting-Neufarn.
Poing/Vaterstetten – District Administrator Robert Niedergesäß (CSU) is sending positive signals about a speed limit on a district road between the municipalities of Poing and Vaterstetten.
Both municipalities had submitted a joint application to reduce the speed limit to 70 outside of town on the connection via Angelrechting and Poing in the north and Neufarn in the south (we reported).
So far, the speed limit is 100.
"I think it's good that both communities are coordinating and have submitted a joint application," said Niedergesäß on Tuesday at a press conference in the district office.
"If it's up to me, we can make it happen."
By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Ebersberg newsletter.
However, you still have to examine the application carefully to see whether the general conditions are right.
There could also be resistance.
Among other things, the road traffic regulations provide a legal framework.
The question is whether there is room for maneuver and not insurmountable hurdles.
"Then I'll be there," says Niedergesäß.
The district administrator referred to successful examples such as a speed reduction on the eastern bypass of Grafing, Tempo 30 through Weißenfeld or on Spannleitenberg in Kirchseeon.
In the latter case, however, it is a federal highway.
Niedergesäß mentioned that there are currently other applications on this subject, for example from Oberpframmern.
