Federal road 472 near Bad Tölz: work on the threading track

A new threading lane on the B 472 near Bad Tölz should ensure more traffic safety.

Left turns had repeatedly caused serious accidents at this point.

Bad Tölz - There was already preparatory work last year, but the project was suspended over the winter.

But now the construction work for the new threading lane on the B 472 near the Tölz-West exit is progressing.

A rainwater tank is currently being built

Drainage is currently being worked on.

Among other things, a rainwater tank will be built.

"We seal areas and are not allowed to simply discharge surface water into the stream - and above all not too much at once," says Martin Herda, department head at the State Building Authority in Weilheim.

The new track should be ready by the end of the summer holidays

It should be finished by the end of summer vacation.

The reason for this is the increase in traffic safety at this point, since turning left from Benediktbeurer Straße in the direction of Tölz is dangerous.

Again and again in the past there had been serious accidents with injuries and deaths.

In the future, drivers will drive through an underpass

In the future, drivers are to be guided through an expanded, existing underpass and then via the new threading lane onto the federal highway.
