Homs, SANA- The General Organization for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Homs has put a water pumping station and a well in Rawdat al-Waer village into service.

The Public Establishment for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Homs put a water pumping station and a well in Rawdat Al-Waer village into service after its rehabilitation.

Engineer Ali Khalil, director of project implementation in the foundation, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the pumping station was rehabilitated and a new well in the village was equipped and put into service after the old well was out of service with a depth of 325 meters and a density of 45 cubic meters per hour.

He added, "The project aims to support and improve the irrigation reality in the village, serving 300 subscribers, with a contract value of 360 million pounds, and includes modern electrical equipment that allows switching through the switchboard between electricity and diesel, in addition to mechanical equipment that includes a submersible pump and an 85-horsepower engine with pump line requirements and protection devices." water hammer to avoid any hydraulic shock.

Khalil explained that the construction works to rehabilitate the station included roof insulation, painting work, maintenance of windows and doors, and replacement of the pumping line, 700 meters long and 125 mm in diameter.
