Homs, SANA- The industrial city of Hassia is witnessing a remarkable growth, with 21 new investors joining it during the quarter.

Hasya Industrial City is witnessing a remarkable growth with the joining of 21 new investors during the first quarter of this year, bringing the total number of investors in it to 954 since its launch in 2004, with a total capital of facilities exceeding 169 billion Syrian pounds and employing more than 25 thousand workers and technicians.

Dr. Bassam Al-Mansour, director of the industrial city in Hisya, explained to SANA that the total number of producing facilities reached 294 facilities, with a capital estimated at more than 67 billion pounds, and employing more than nine thousand manpower and technicians, while there are 660 facilities under construction with a capital exceeding 102 billion pounds, which will provide about 16 A job opportunity.

Al-Mansour said, "An increase was recorded in the percentage of the area sold for the partitions in Hisia by the end of the first quarter of this year to reach 65 percent, distributed among all industrial sectors, pointing to the sale of 402 parcels in the engineering area out of a total of 448 units, while 235 units were sold out of 315 units." In the chemical area and 221 in the food zone out of 459 partitions, in addition to selling 54 out of 200 partitions in the textile zone, 42 out of 451 partitions were sold in the administrative and service zone.

A number of new investors talked about the investment incentives available in the industrial city of Hasya, including Ghiath Diop, who confirmed that his entry into the field of investment in the industrial city of Hasya came from his desire to take advantage of the advantages and facilities provided by a number of decrees and laws regarding the program of substitution of import alternatives, where he obtained the necessary license for his facility. On an area of ​​about eight dunums for the production of phosphate fertilizers for various agricultural purposes and by making use of the raw materials found in Homs, whether raw phosphates in mines or products of the fertilizer plant, noting that the production process is scheduled to start at the end of this year with a capacity of one thousand tons annually according to the availability of the raw material.

The investor, Bernard Suleiman, stated that he obtained a license for his facility to produce forage supplements, and it is currently under construction for the facility, which is 1,100 square meters and employs about 20 workers. It is expected to start production next year, pointing to the great facilities and simplification of procedures provided to investors in Hasya.

It is noteworthy that spending on investment projects implemented in Hasya Industrial City during the first quarter of this year amounted to one billion and 279 million Syrian pounds, with the aim of serving investors and providing the necessary infrastructure.
