At about 4 am, the suspect took the second female deceased to the hotel room in the hotel lobby. After that, the suspect walked out of the room about 2 hours later and took a taxi to leave the scene.
On the same day, at 7:35 am, he left Macao through the customs gate and absconded to the Mainland.
In the early morning of May 7, the Hunan Criminal Investigation WeChat official account reported that a murder had occurred in other provinces, and then the criminal suspect Zhao Moulong (male, 33 years old, from Heilongjiang, a former officer of picking quarrels and provoking trouble) fled to Hunan.
Immediately, the Criminal Investigation Corps of the Hunan Provincial Public Security Department organized the province's police force to intercept and arrest. The party committees and governments of Huaihua City and Hongjiang City mobilized more than 3,000 cadres, the masses and more than 700 police forces to round up and arrest them.
The Hunan Provincial Public Security Bureau even issued a reward notice to mobilize the masses to report.

The internal media "Upstream News" reported that at 7:20 on May 17, the police received a report from the public that a man in a camouflage uniform stopped a car to ask for directions in a section of Zhongshan Village, Tangwan Town, Hongjiang City, Huaihua, and was with the wanted criminal Zhao. After receiving the report, the police rushed to the scene to conduct a search. After more than 20 minutes of searching, Zhao Moulong was arrested and brought to justice in front of a farmer's house in Zhongshan Village, Tangwan Town at 7:48.
Judging from the short video exposed on the scene, Zhao Moulong was eating at the door of the farmer's house when he was arrested. When he told the police that "it's right here", he also ate with a big face without changing his face.
After interrogation, Zhao Moulong confessed to his crimes.
