Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro reiterated that the President of Colombia is drawing up a plan to target security in Venezuela.
"Colombian President Ivan Duque devised a scheme and invested several million dollars to hire criminals to attack the army and police stations and try to destabilize Venezuela," Madror was quoted by Telesur channel broadcasting from Caracas yesterday.
Maduro also requested an investigation into the data published in a book by former US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, in which he confirmed that former US President Donald Trump had proposed to Venezuelan opposition politician Juan Guaido to assassinate the president, ministers and other leaders in Venezuela.
Maduro pointed out that the extreme right in Venezuela has encouraged violence and illegal sanctions against his country, which has hampered the welfare of the population.
President Maduro announced last month that President Duque plans, in cooperation with individual criminals and organized organizations, to send saboteurs across the border in the form of groups of thieves and criminals to attack police, army and security forces.
