Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khuzulin stressed today that if Ukraine is not ready to buy and pay for electricity from the Zaporozhye nuclear plant, the latter will work in Russia's interest.
Russia Today website quoted Khuzulin as saying: “If Ukraine is ready to receive the electricity and pay for it, the station will work for its benefit, otherwise it will work for Russia,” pointing out that Russia will not face any problems in selling electricity produced at the Zaporozhye plant.
Khazolin stressed that the largest nuclear plant in Europe will continue to work while preserving all job opportunities, pointing out that the distribution of electricity from the station will come according to the available opportunities within the electrical network.
Russian forces took control of parts of Zaporozhye and Kharkov provinces and most of the territory of Kherson Province during their military operation in Ukraine.
