Created three months ago, the new “cold cases” center in Nanterre has just revived several criminal cases.
Here are the details of the cases “awakened” by justice.
The murder of Antoinette Lenepveu in June 1983 in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin
On June 21, 1983, the naked and decapitated body of Antoinette Lenepveu, 81, was discovered at her home in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin.
The head of the octogenarian will only be discovered a few days later, hidden in an SNCF depot.
Investigators will also uncover a chopper and a knife that may have been used to commit the crime.
But despite their determination to continue the investigations and to do everything to ensure that the limitation period is not reached - by regularly signing acts - the investigation is stalled until it is gradually forgotten.
A resident of the region, so suspected, is well questioned, but again, the track does not succeed.
After 32 years, a new investigation was finally reopened in 2015 by the courts at the instigation of the former prosecutor of Coutances,
