Hezbollah secretary general speaks for the first time since losing the majority in parliament in Lebanon elections * hinted to parliamentarians: "Failure to take responsibility is treason" * and teased Saudi Arabia: "The ambassador to them went from village to village distributing money"

In his first speech since the Hezbollah camp lost its majority in the Lebanese elections, the secretary general of the terrorist organization Hassan Nasrallah called tonight (Wednesday) for cooperation between the various blocs in parliament.

"Opposition (Hezbollah) and its allies have a powerful presence in parliament. We are facing a parliament made up of parliamentary and independent blocs, and there is no political group today that has a majority," Nasrallah stressed.

With the arrival of the official results it became clear that the coalition of Hezbollah, Amal, the Christian Free Patriot Party and others had lost the majority.

In 2018 the factions held 71 seats out of 128.

Now, according to the French news agency, their number of representatives has dropped to 61-62.

In contrast, the anti-Hezbollah camp, which includes mainly the Christian Lebanese forces, the factions and the Progressive Socialist Party, won 54-53 seats.

In the range, there are 13 representatives of the 2019 popular protest.

Against this background, Nasrallah explained that the magnitude of the economic crises in the country, including the unemployment rate and the fall in the value of the Lebanese pound - do not allow one group to deal with them alone - even if it obtains a majority.

According to him, the meaning of the election results is that we must act together.

Hezbollah's secretary general also sent a hint to other members of parliament that refraining from taking responsibility is a "betrayal of trust and a breach of election promises."

Nasrallah also stressed that Hezbollah was interested in holding the election in the first place.

According to him, "the lie of postponing the election was one of the lies spread against the opposition and its allies and exposed."

He further referred to what he defined as "the lie of the Iranian occupation", and wondered if anyone had seen the Iranian ambassador or one of Iran's officials, while U.S. representatives visited the polls, and "the Saudi ambassador was particularly active as he moved from village to village, attractive. Candidates and pays money. "
