A large day care center opens in Bad Heilbrunn in autumn.

For this purpose, the rooms of the former guest information are currently being renovated.

The mayor is happy about the new offer.

Bad Heilbrunn

– The municipality of Bad Heilbrunn is growing – and as in many places, so is the need for childcare places.

An additional offer is now being created in the former rooms of the guest information on Wörnerweg.

"We need more crèche places and are glad that large day care can soon be offered there," says Mayor Thomas Gründl in an interview with the Kurier.

Now you have to convert the premises so that the requirements required by the district office are met.

In principle, the project has been approved.

The large day care, which offers space for ten children, is scheduled to open in autumn.

The conversion of the rooms should now start as soon as possible, as Gründl reports.

Craftsmen have already looked at the site.

In concrete terms, a wall had to be put in place, the kitchen moved and the toilets adapted for both small children and the staff.

In addition, space is needed for ten small beds for the boys and girls who will be looked after there in the future.

In addition, the garden area must be fenced.

"Around 20,000 to 25,000 euros are estimated for the conversion measures," says Gründl.

A new care for little sailors

One of the two childminders who will work there with the children in the future is Marion Brunner.

The 31-year-old from Bad Tölz is a qualified child and remedial nurse and also has special training for children with disabilities.

"I've been looking for a day care facility for a long time," says Brunner.

So far she has worked in various kindergartens, including as deputy head of the Eglingen kindergarten.

She is now a freelance childminder.

"I want to offer good educational work and I think it's great that you only look after so few boys and girls at the same time," says the 31-year-old.

She has different pedagogical approaches in mind, which she would like to introduce and combine.

Among other things, her dog "Candy" should come to the large day care from time to time.

The seven-year-old Labrador mix has helper training.

"Candy is very relaxed with kids," says Brunner.

And it has been proven that animals have a positive influence on children.

Brunner has already thought of a name for the day care.

It should be called "The Little Sailors".

"I have a great love of the sea and ships," Brunner explains the choice of name.

For her, the name stands for the freedom of thought that connects her with the vastness of the sea.

"The name should also reflect the liberal concept that is planned in the large day care," explains Brunner.

A second childminder is currently being sought

The 31-year-old definitely wants to start day care in the fall – even if no second childminder has been found by then, with whom she will then take care of the rooms together.

"A childminder can look after five children at the same time and in the same place," explains Brunner.

A second childminder is currently being sought for the large day care center in Bad Heilbrunn, so that ten children can be cared for there at the same time.

"Anyone who is interested can contact the youth welfare office in Bad Tölz," says Brunner.

In addition, a jumper is needed if one of the two fails due to illness.

Brunner is happy that she has now found premises for day care.

In principle, childminders could also offer care at home if they meet certain requirements, but for the 31-year-old, special rooms "make sense" and give her work a valuable educational framework.

"It's also great that the municipality is installing the basic equipment," says Brunner.

"But I can then set up the rooms according to my ideas - I'm really looking forward to it."

She can still be reached by phone on 0 80 46/323.
