For the past 15 years, interior designer Efrat Witt has planned and designed countless projects including apartments Of various types (luxury apartments, investment apartments, contractor apartments and apartments as part of TMA projects) as well as offices. The elegant signature is the product of a balanced and correct use of natural raw materials such as wood, metal, glass, stone, marble and more And impressive.

All of this is reflected in the apartment she planned and designed for a couple in their 60s, in the Arnona neighborhood of Jerusalem.

"This is a lovely couple who have long since retired," explains the designer.

"The couple has three married children and grandchildren who are very attached to them and they see each other on a daily basis."

The apartment is part of an old residential building in the pastoral neighborhood and faces an open mountain view.

Its main area is about 140 square meters, and another 60 square meters of balconies.

"Before the renovation, the apartment was outdated and out of date. The tenants did a slight renovation in the kitchen and balcony area, but the general feeling was that the apartment needed a serious facelift," Witt explains.

The request of the homeowners was to completely renovate the apartment and adapt the new plan to their current needs, as they often host and need a large, bright and airy space where they can comfortably accommodate family and friends.

Another and somewhat unusual request that touched on the issue of hospitality, was to create a new and spacious kitchen and in addition to it maintain an existing internal kitchen, which will function as a kind of rear kitchen with large refrigerators and plenty of storage, which will facilitate the operation of hospitality.

In addition, the customers aimed for a large and pampering master space where there will be a bright and pampering walk-in closet in many storage spaces and adjacent to it a private master shower.

"Luckily, during the demolition, we did not uncover supporting pillars that could have hurt the planning concept, so the only constraint we faced was a tight schedule, full of joint work by many professionals who worked on the site at the same time, which required precision, supervision and detail. ", Witt explains.

After finishing the planning work, Witt and the couple went to choose the finishing materials for the apartment, most of which are in clean lines on the purity of shades of gray, black and white, which together create a modern, polished and clean look.

"When we were looking for furniture for the apartment, we aimed for stores that are known for furniture details in a modern and high-quality line, which can be made CUSTOM MADE and incorporate details that will give them their unique look. At the same time, it was important to us "The usefulness account in this case. The fabrics we chose are washable fabrics and by transferring a wipe you can take over any stain."

For the living room, a seating system of the Italian brand GAMMA was chosen, designed in clean lines and at the same time luxurious and especially comfortable, and it is upholstered in a rich fabric in a dark gray shade.

Next to the seating system were two coffee tables of the Italian brand BONTEMPI CASA with a particularly durable super-ceramic surface.

In order to enhance the monochromatic contrast, one of them in a warm gray shade and the other in an extra white shade.

For the dining area, White chose an openable dining table with a glass-matte top with a matte silk finish, with protection against scratches and antique-colored copper legs.

Around it, the designer chose to combine comfortable and pampering chairs upholstered in an elegant and dramatic charcoal black fabric.

"Fortunately, the customers testify that they are very happy with the purchase and enjoy hosting friends and family," she says.

In addition, it carries with it the entire audio and cable system in the home.
