Russian Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev announced that the actions of Western countries have undermined strategic stability in Europe, the Middle East, and the world in general.
"The West's steps have also threatened the security structure in the Asia-Pacific region and destabilized the world," TASS news agency quoted Patrushev as saying during his meeting with ambassadors of foreign countries in Moscow today, noting the increasing instability against the background of the emergence of new centers of power in the world, due to the persistence of Some countries with their geopolitical hegemony.
Patrushev pointed out that Western countries are indifferent to the interests of others and proceeded to the deliberate destruction of the international stability system that was formed over the years and ignored Russian proposals for security guarantees.
As a result, the strategic stability in Europe and the Middle East has been undermined, the security structure in the Asia-Pacific region has been undermined, and as a result of the sanctions war launched against Russia, the social and economic situation around the world has been sharply destabilized and many countries have been pushed to the brink of starvation, Patrushev said.
