Radio play spectacle, music and party: In Greiling there will be big celebrations for a whole week

There will be big celebrations in Greiling from May 21st.

There will be a whole week of festivals with a beer tent starting next Saturday, May 21, in Greiling.

The focus is on the inauguration of the new fire station.

Greiling – There will be big celebrations in Greiling from Saturday 21st to Sunday 29th May.

The occasion is the inauguration of the fire station and the new fire engine.

During the Greilinger Festwoche there is a marquee on the soccer field near the church with an extensive programme.

The construction of the beer tent begins on Wednesday

On Wednesday, May 18th and Thursday, May 19th, the beer tent will be set up at the fairground behind the Greilinger church.

Volunteers meet at 8 a.m. each day.

The "Bavarian Cinderella" and "Jennerwein" to start with

To kick off the festival on Saturday, May 21, "The Bavarian Cinderella" is on the program.

The funny fairy tale with Stefan Murr and Heinz-Josef Braun begins at 2 p.m.

The Bavarian radio play spectacle "Jennerwein" with Murr, Braun, Johanna Bittenbinder and the "Art Ensemble of Passau" will be offered at 8.30 p.m.

Beer tapping on May 25th by the mayor

It continues on Wednesday, May 25, with a stand concert by the Greiling band at 6 p.m. at the fire station.

The band then marches into the tent to be tapped by Mayor Anton Margreiter.

The Wiesnkapelle "089" will play from 7.30 p.m.

"Bayern-3-Band" plays at the beer tent party

On Father's Day, Thursday May 26th, there will be lots of music in the marquee with different groups.

Admission is free.

It starts at 10 a.m. with a white sausage breakfast, a senior’s morning pint and a vintage car meet-up around the beer tent.

On the day of companies and clubs on Friday, May 27th, the Greiling band will play from 6 p.m.

A bobby car race will take place on Saturday, May 28, from 10 a.m. on Hofzaunweg.

In the evening, the "Bayern-3-Band" will play at the beer tent party from 7 p.m.

DJ Tonic also provides good music.

Inauguration of the fire station and blessing of the new vehicle

The highlight of the festival week is the inauguration of the fire station and the new emergency vehicle on Sunday, May 29th.

White sausages are available from 8 a.m. in the beer tent.

The church procession to the fire station starts at 9:30 a.m.

This is followed by the service with inauguration and a procession to the marquee.

For entertainment, the music bands of the neighboring fire brigades play all day long.
