Young Khaled Al-Quwaider from Daraa Governorate invented new types of blocks that saved those wishing to build buildings and construction contractors with large sums of money, and at the same time shortened the construction time from months to a few days.
After several experiments in merging the stone with the block, Al-Quwaider was able to dispense with the traditional methods of building such as clay, clay, stone dressing and the cost of the stone installation teacher. He was also able to dispense with the cement layer between the stone and the building.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Al-Quwaider said, "The high cost of building supplies prompted me to think about the process of merging the stone with the block, and after several experiments that lasted for more than six months, I was able to implement the first stone block project in a year, thus changing the specifications of the traditional block and its sizes, with a shortening of the construction period of three months. For about three days, pointing out that the engraving and measurement of the stone is designed according to the desire and taste of the owner of the building, stressing that the aesthetic view is unusual and at the same time it has a normal cost compared to the high traditional costs, and Daraa is currently unique in its production from other provinces.
Al-Quwaider indicated that what distinguishes the product is that the age of the stone is from the age of the block thanks to the adhesion processes that are subject to high pressure, and it does not belong to the prominent or polygonal block because the new innovation allows choosing any stone pattern such as the mat, the supplier, the bushard, and others similar to artificial stone and comparable to the durability of natural stone, indicating that his work It also included creating an alternative to marble and basalt slabs used as masonry for doors and windows, with a cheap product and with high specifications in terms of length, width, thickness and readiness for installation. Over a short period of time, more than 800 houses were implemented in the governorates of Daraa and As-Suwayda.
Al-Quwaider said, “A block for chimneys is added to the list of innovations to pass electricity, telephone, air-conditioning and sanitary installation cables without resorting to drilling and cracking, which affects the construction condition of the building, indicating that his ambition did not stop at this point, but continued to include all the internal and external building works that the house requires to appear in a positive way. integrated.
And about securing electrical energy to make the product, Al-Quwaider said that he overcame the problems of power outages and rationing programs and dispensing with diesel in power generation by securing the plant’s need with a capacity of 100 horsepower through a solar energy system without savings.
For his part, the head of the administrative and legal office in the Union of Daraa Craftsmen, Ayman Al-Dammad, said in a similar statement, “The idea is wonderful and excellent, and for the first time the block has been combined with stone in this way, indicating that he communicated with all the craftsmen’s unions in the governorates to enrich the idea and it was found that the governorate of Daraa is the first to do this work.
He added, “This product combines the aesthetics of work and its multiplicity of types, while saving large sums of money on people wishing to construct buildings in conjunction with cladding the walls.
