The Schützengau Dorfen celebrates its 100th anniversary.
The peak should follow in the summer of 2023.

– In Schützengau Dorfen things are looking up again in sport and society.
After more than two years of restrictions due to the corona pandemic, the shooters have also become active again, and the first district events and the district championships were successful.
Gauschützenmeisterin Gertraud Stadler stated at the annual general meeting in the Gauschießstätte that rifle sport has picked up speed again.
The women's Easter shooting, a youth day and the elder shooting were well attended, and the shooting in the small and large caliber range was also well received despite the restrictions.
Gausport director Michael Piehl was pleased that a district championship could take place in the spring and that a total of 137 shooters took part.
Piehl also reported on a number of medal successes at the district championships.
The sports director was critical of the fact that he had to observe that the shooters were negligent in the safety regulations at the stand at the most recent shooting competition in the Gau, which could not be tolerated.
Gaurund competition manager Bernd Weber congratulated the air rifle team from Isental Lengdorf on their promotion to the Bavarian League Southeast.
The Gauschützenmeisterin looked at the upcoming events.
For the second Sunday of the folk festival on August 21st, she invited all district associations to the Schützenzug.
In addition, the Schützengau will be 100 years old.
The jubilee is to begin with a larger district shooting in autumn and have another highlight in the summer of 2023 with a festival service and festival.
Dorfen's Mayor Heinz Grundner thanked those responsible in the Gau for their perseverance in the difficult Corona period.
He is looking forward to a "glamorous riflemen's parade" at the Dorfen folk festival and to the celebrations for the district anniversary, which can be combined with the 1250th anniversary of Dorfen in the coming year.
