Further details about the affair of the threatening letters on Prime Minister Naftali Bennett were revealed this morning (Wednesday), according to which the letters allegedly sent by Likud activist Ilana Sporta Haniya were sent nearby during the week of Passover and arrived separately, probably due to mail disruptions.

The investigation



of the Lahav 433 unit in cooperation with the GSS began following the sending of two threatening letters of murder to the home of Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and his wife Gilat's place of work.



The first threats, which arrived on April 25, were accompanied by two live bullets and death threats addressed to the prime minister's son, Yoni Bennett and his wife Gilat. The second letter arrived on April 28 and surprised investigators, Access to ammunition and ability to realize the threat.

With the help of the special units in Lahav 433, the police arrived within a few days to identify the suspect in the act - Ilana Sporta Haniya, a 65-year-old resident of Ashkelon.

At the same time, other suspects were examined, but after several tests their involvement was ruled out.

Although Sporta has taken significant precautions to keep track of it, it has also made a number of mistakes, such as handwriting, which Lahav 433 researchers have linked to the case.

At this point it is not known how Sporta obtained the bullets she attached to the threatening letters, and her husband's involvement in the incident was ruled out.

The wording of the threat sent in the letters was: "If you do not resign from your post - this bullet will hit you."
