The Pride Parade in Netivot was canceled following death threats against its organizers
The decision was made after a bullet was placed at the entrance to the mother's office of one of the city's parade organizers.
This, after a windshield was smashed last week, a day after the mayor made it clear to community representatives that he had no intention of supporting the event.

The Pride Parade in Netivot was canceled due to death threats against the organizers, the Association for the LGBT Association said today (Wednesday), after a bullet was sent to the mother of one of the organizers of the parade, which was supposed to take place in early June. Following the incident, the police opened an investigation.
This is not the only case in which the organizers received threats. Last week, the woman's windshield was smashed. This is
an event designed to promote tolerance.
Following the events, the LGBT Association decided to attach security to the event organizers in the city for fear of their personal safety and cancel the event.
In addition, the association's director general, Ran Shalhavi, updated the Minister of Internal Security, Omar Bar-Lev, in detail.

"We demand that the police take personal responsibility for the safety of the organizers and secure them," Shalhavi said.
"We learn from experience and remember that bullets that appear in the first act have already killed us twice. Out of responsibility for the safety and well-being of the proud community, the event will not take place and it is a certificate of poverty for Israel and the city of Netivot. "Leading to explicit killings is the convincing proof that our struggle is not over."
