The Prosecutor's Office of the Mexican state of Veracruz reported this Tuesday through a statement that the person who had been detained in connection with the death of the director of the El Veraz portal, Yessenia Mollinedo Falconi, and the reporter Sheila Johana García Olivera.
The prosecution said that, when validating the identity of the suspect, it was determined that it was a mistake due to homonymy, or the same name, and he was released to avoid violating his rights.
He added that they continue with the investigations to find the whereabouts of the perpetrators of the crimes.
