Holzkirchen
– Unknown perpetrators stole a sign from the art installation with fictitious traffic signs advertising the current “Festival for Human Rights” on the Holzkirchen market square and took it to Rosenheimer Straße.
As the police announced on Wednesday (May 18), the sign was found on Saturday (May 14) at around 8.30 a.m. at the height of the playground on Rosenheimer Straße.
The fictional triangular sign (red border on a white background) symbolically shows a violent situation.
The thieves had propped it against a tree by the side of the road.
Police seized the sign to avoid distracting motorists.
An associated, rectangular additional sign with the inscription "Look!" has also disappeared from the market place, but has not yet appeared.
The theft damage amounts to around 100 euros.
The Holzkirchen police call 0 80 24 / 90 740 for information about the perpetrators or the whereabouts of the sign.
Possibly the same ne'er-do-wells struck in the Herdergarten last weekend.
Between Friday, May 13 and Monday, May 16 inclusive, previously unknown perpetrators destroyed five wooden deck chairs ("outdoor chairs for everyone") in the market town of Holzkirchen.
Police estimate the damage to property at around $200.
The five deckchairs that were destroyed, the seats of which were designed in a striking wooden church green, were set up in front of the youth center at the Herdergarten during the period mentioned.
Witnesses who can provide relevant information about the perpetrators and/or the time of the crime are also asked to contact the Holzkirchen police station.
