(1986), Tom Cruise returns to the screen for his sequel,
Top Gun: Maverick
, presented out of competition during the 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival
.
And to present the feature film directed by Joseph Kosinski, the American actor will be present on the Croisette.
But, like the Hollywood githa who shuns the Croisette, he will only spend a few hours there, before returning to London to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's platinum jubilee and continuing his tour with Paramount in Leicester Square.

It was during CinemaCon in Las Vegas that the 59-year-old actor promoted the film for the first time, while hanging on a plane in full flight over South Africa.
For France, the presentation of the feature film will take place this time on land, on the Croisette, where every minute seems programmed.
Before climbing the steps of the Festival,

Distant Horizons.
Directed by Ron Howard, Tom Cruise played Joseph Donelly, a young man in love with revenge following the death of his father and the arson of his farm in Ireland.
He then decides to go to the home of the responsible family and comes across an attractive young woman, Shannon, a role played by Nicole Kidman.

If his passage on the Croisette turns out to be so express, it is because the actor is expected to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's platinum jubilee in London the same evening.
A privilege that the actor has already seized on Sunday by presenting, in the gardens of Windsor Castle, the first television show organized to mark the seventy years of reign of the Queen of England.
