Together they are stronger: Stammtisch and community of the market Swabian entrepreneurs are growing together.

Markt Schwaben – As decided at the last entrepreneurs’ get-together in March, the “Action Group Markt Schwabener Unternehmer” and “Unser Markt Schwaben 2.0” are to be merged.

"We have therefore closed the existing account of Aktion Markt Schwabener Unternehmer and transferred the remaining balance to the account of Unser Markt Schwaben 2.0," write the two speakers and chairmen Erich Schweiger and Alois Rupprich in an invitation to a new regulars' table, which for the first time respective contributors should bring together.

There is already an appointment for this: Wednesday, June 8th, in the Brauhaus.

Christmas market is up for discussion

At the regulars' table in March, Rupprich and Schweiger announced that they would no longer be available to organize the Christmas market.

How the Christmas market will continue, which has been a permanent institution in the community for a good 40 years, is still open and should also be discussed at this regulars' table, they say.

The "City and Entrepreneur Community", as the association has been officially called for years, is now home to around 70 local tradespeople.

The chairman Alois Rupprich (Vice: Mayor Michael Stolze) is happy and happy that the number of members and the financial strength remained stable even in the pandemic phase.

The only thing Rupprich regretted, he told EZ these days, was that the economic development that the business community wanted in the town hall did not develop as initially planned after the responsible clerk, Melanie Lanzinger, resigned.

As a reminder, Stolze immediately made economic development a top priority.

"The cooperation works," says Rupprich, and also points out that

Corona has hit the companies hard

Of course, Corona has kept almost all local companies busy for the past two years.

Against this background, good experiences have been made in the market town with a business model that Finsinger calls “click and meet”.

What is meant is taking specific telephone orders and having the goods picked up at the shop door.

A procedure followed by several local entrepreneurs.

It is said that some of this still exists today, although the lockdown phases are long history.

According to Rupprichs, online presentations of goods have also increased;

among other things also gladly in the media Facebook and Instagram.

Only the option of being able to order online from the local dealer was not able to gain acceptance during the Corona period, probably also for cost reasons.

So what was once called a "Local Amazon".

City voucher was a huge success

Rupprich wants the city voucher to be seen as a success story.

So the opportunity to purchase vouchers that can be redeemed in all participating Markt Schwaben shops.

It was particularly valuable that the Magna company immediately made the local voucher palatable to its numerous employees.

This brought the project forward decisively.

Club boss Rupprich also has a compliment ready for the customers.

During the hard Corona period, she would have supported local retailers in a targeted manner and shopped locally.

What was striking was that the purchases were more valuable and targeted.

Rupprich's own living space company, now managed by the next generation, reacted immediately, shortening the actual opening hours and offering special consultation appointments that can be booked online.
