The Taxi and Minibus Association of Hong Kong handed over a cheque of nearly 830,000 yuan to the widow of a taxi murder in Sai Wan.

At 11 am this morning, the representative of the Hong Kong Taxi and Minibus Association handed over a cheque of about 828,000 yuan to the widow of Wei Jianxiong, the deceased of the taxi murder in Sai Wan. Mrs. Wei thanked the public for donations several times, but admitted that "I have been feeling numb recently. They all think about the male son (the deceased husband)." And the youngest son, who was in elementary school, "is not very happy, (by himself) saw the warm scene of people, and the tears could not help shedding..." Mrs. Wei recalled that her deceased husband couldn't help choking.

Mr. Lin Shengda, vice chairman of the Hong Kong Taxi and Minibus Chamber of Commerce, said that the total amount of donations received by the association was about 1.23 million yuan, and 400,000 yuan had been transferred earlier, and the balance was handed over to the widow today.
