Following the recent violence, during which MK Ahmad Tibi and MK Ofer Kasif attacked police officers, the Women's and Prisoners' Organization today turned to Gali's spokeswoman in Rabbi Miara, demanding that it remove the two's immunity, so that they can be prosecuted.
As you may recall, during a police operation to deal with riots in Jerusalem, Tibi erupted and interfered, thus helping one of the suspects escape.
In another case, Ofer Kasif was documented beating police officers in the southern Hebron Mountains.

The letter reads: "In recent days we have witnessed a shock in two serious cases of police attacks by MKs. MK Ahmad Tibi tried to cement a young man whom the police wanted to arrest, while MK Kasif was documented beating a policeman in the southern Hebron hills. We want to join the commissioner The police and the additional voices calling for the removal of the immunity of Knesset members.
The situation in which members of the Knesset of Israel are taking the liberty of harming women and men and women, and thus the entire Israeli police force, one of the important symbols of a sovereign democratic state, is extremely serious and unimaginable.
We ask you to remove the immunity of Knesset members and allow them to be prosecuted, in terms of doing justice and "for the sake of seeing and being seen."
