Stunning what the young musicians showed in Grünwald's August-Everding-Saal at the prizewinners' concert of "Jugend musiziert".

Some of them may have careers ahead of them.

Grünwald

– The atmosphere at the prizewinners' concert in Grünwald's August Everding Hall was as tense as a feather and charged with anticipation and anticipation of the game, when the deputy head of the Grünwald Music School, Bernhard Huber, lifted a sheet of paper and Around the parents and musicians showed.

An arc was shown, with a dot below it.

The secret of the fermata

A fermata, as a girl of the rank correctly recognized, a rest mark on the sheet of music.

It is also called Corona of all things.

That's why there was only a "small" regional competition in Grünwald, which was postponed from January to May.

The children had to practice their pieces four months longer.

Some ended up working on one piece for almost a year.

The stage fright had everyone under control

First import, then performance, evaluation with a short debriefing and in the evening foreplay.

The musicians had to be highly concentrated on these two days.

But what does small competition actually mean here?

Just because the older ones didn't participate?

The third mayor of Grünwald, Uschi Kneidl, representing the patron Jan Neusiedl, didn't think anything was small here!

In any case, the talents had furiously demonstrated in the evaluations over two days that they have big plans in their disciplines violin, cello, piano and woodwind instrument, piano chamber music, guitar ensemble, harp ensemble as well as dulcimer and vocal ensemble.

They all had stage fright, which can also be seen in the results.

The proud parents, the friends filled the stalls, the gallery and the terrace and were happy

how their children were allowed to present themselves on this beautiful stage, how they were lifted into the limelight in beautiful little dresses and suits.

All due to daily diligence and talent.

Already reached concert maturity

It's amazing what young virtuosos can get out of their instruments at the age of seven or eight - like little Emma Xu with her sister Emilie Xu from Taufkirchen.

They conjured up the first movement of Oskar Rieding's Concerto in B minor with a lot of luster and concert maturity on the podium.

Sounds like a whale

The program filled two pages, but rightly so.

Patience was rewarded with each additional piece.

The mix of age groups and instruments in the sequence in particular made the evening a real treat, dominated by the violin.

Finally, the regional committee chose "Orca" by Rafael and Victor Alcantara, which was unsurpassed in terms of originality.

Valentin Thien-Phu Wagner imitated a whale with his saxophone and was accompanied by Cosima Thien-An Wagner.

Both come from Tegernsee and have described this whale song so vividly that you could see the deep sea and its inhabitants in person.

The feedback from the audience at the end was for all participants who gave their best for the music over the two days.

And after all, it's not just about perfection, it's also about having fun.

It will be interesting to see which of the talents will be there again next year.

Hopefully in January.
