"It's the headliner of the neighborhood": Yvan Mendy, the child of the Terriers in Pont, on the roof of Europe in boxing

Yvan Mendy still remembers the clamor of the Léo-Lagrange hall on November 10, 1998. That evening, Alain Simon placed Pont-Sainte-Maxence (Oise) on the map of French boxing.

The light heavyweight from Oise then faces Jean-Marc Mormeck for the title of champion of France.

"The crowd was shouting his name, I thought it was crazy," rewinds the boxer.
