It's getting uncomfortable in Bavaria: sometimes heavy thunderstorms are coming from the west, the DWD issues a warning.
Heavy rain and squalls are expected.

The next extreme weather situation is looming in Bavaria.
On Thursday there will be isolated severe thunderstorms, according to the experts there will be a "highly explosive situation" on Friday.

The DWD has already issued an official severe weather warning for "severe thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail".
The warning applies from Monday, 4:37 p.m. to 6 p.m.

According to the German Weather Service, warning level 2 applies in many places, and in some places even warning level 3: There it says "Official severe weather warning for severe thunderstorms with heavy rain and hail", it warns of "stormy heavy rain".

Severe thunderstorms in Bavaria: DWD with warning level 3
Thunderstorms are sweeping across Bavaria from the west.
From Monday afternoon there will be strong thunderstorms in many areas, which will "roll across" the Free State from west to east - according to the DWD weather map, warning level 2 applies here. In some places there will even be severe thunderstorms with heavy rain - for these regions, in northern Bavaria, for example, even warning level 3 applies. This is the second highest level at the German Weather Service.
Munich is also on the path of the thunderstorm front.

Severe gusts of wind with wind speeds of 90 km/h are then possible, including uprooted trees and damaged roofs.
Therefore, the DWD warns the population of falling branches, roof tiles and other objects.
Local flooding and flooding are also possible, according to the weather service experts.

Hail is also possible, the grains could be around two centimeters in size.
In connection with warning level 3, the DWD also speaks of possible landslides and warns people to close windows and doors and to secure outdoor objects.
You should also keep your distance from “buildings, trees, scaffolding and high-voltage lines”.
During the night of Tuesday, the storm should subside towards the east.
In the further course of the week, the weather in Bavaria is supposed to get very warm again, towards the end of the week the 30 degrees can even be cracked.
But then summer-like thunderstorms are possible again.
