At the Merkaz Harav yeshiva, they finally decided not to invite Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and opposition leader MK Benjamin Netanyahu to the traditional Jerusalem Day celebrations.

In order to avoid getting involved in political issues, it was decided that instead of the prime minister's speech, state figures would speak - President Yitzhak Herzog and Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Leon, as well as rabbis.

However, it must be said that even at the last minute the yeshiva can change their minds and invite one or two of the senior figures.
